Haggai 2:17-19
Evangelical Heritage Version
17 I struck you and all the work of your hands with blight, mildew, and hail, yet you did not turn to me, declares the Lord.
18 Consider your ways carefully, from today, the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, all the way back to the day when the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid.[a] Consider this. 19 Is there still seed in the barn? The vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not produced fruit.
But from this day on, I will bless you.
Footnotes
- Haggai 2:18 This probably refers to the laying of the temple foundation in 536 bc rather than the more recent resumption of the work in 520 bc.
