Haggai 1:8-10

8 Go up the mountain and bring wood and build the house[a] so that I may be pleased with it and honored,’ says Yahweh. 9 ‘You have looked for much, and look! It came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?’ declares[b] Yahweh of hosts. ‘Because my house is desolate and you are running each to your own house! 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld the dew and the earth has withheld its produce.

8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber(A) and build my house, so that I may take pleasure(B) in it and be honored,(C)” says the Lord. 9 “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little.(D) What you brought home, I blew(E) away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin,(F) while each of you is busy with your own house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld(G) their dew(H) and the earth its crops.(I)
