Good News Translation
13 (A)The nations you conquered wore themselves out in useless labor, and all they have built goes up in flames. The Lord Almighty has done this. 14 (B)But the earth will be as full of the knowledge of the Lord's glory as the seas are full of water.
15 You are doomed! In your fury you humiliated and disgraced your neighbors; you made them stagger as though they were drunk.

13 Has not the Lord Almighty determined
that the people’s labor is only fuel for the fire,(A)
that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?(B)
14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory(C) of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.(D)
15 “Woe to him who gives drink(E) to his neighbors,
pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk,
so that he can gaze on their naked bodies!
