²⁴ Yet his bow remained steady,
and his strong arms were made agile
by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob,^(A)
by the name of^[a] the Shepherd,^(B) the Rock of Israel,^(C)

¹³ He made him ride on the heights of the land^(A)
and eat the produce of the field.
He nourished him with honey from the rock
and oil from flinty rock,
¹⁴ curds from the herd and milk from the flock,
with the fat of lambs,
rams from Bashan,^(B) and goats,
with the choicest grains of wheat;
you drank wine from the finest grapes.^[a]

¹⁵ You provided bread from heaven^(A) for their hunger;
you brought them water from the rock^(B) for their thirst.
You told them to go in and possess the land
you had sworn^[a] to give them.^(C)

⁶ when my feet were bathed in curds
and the rock^(A) poured out streams of oil for me!

²⁰ Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out;
torrents overflowed.^(A)
But can he also provide bread
or furnish meat for his people?” ^(B)

¹⁶ But he would feed Israel^[a] with the best wheat.
“I would satisfy you with honey from the rock.”^(A)

⁸ who turned the rock into a pool,
the flint into a spring.^(A)
