²¹ For look, the Lord is coming from His place^(A)
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.^(B)
The earth will reveal the blood shed on it
and will no longer conceal her slain.

⁷ For the blood she shed^[a] is still within her.
She put it out on the bare rock;
she didn’t pour it on the ground
to cover it with dust.^(A)
8 In order to stir up wrath and take vengeance,^(B)
I have put her blood on the bare rock,
so that it would not be covered.
