⁷ In my distress ^(A)I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He ^(B)heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.

⁵ Because the hungry eat up his harvest,
^[a]Taking it even from the thorns,
^[b]And a snare snatches their ^[c]substance.

²² In his self-sufficiency he will be in distress;
Every hand of ^[a]misery will come against him.

4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
^[b]Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
