The Abrahamic Covenant

15 After these events, the word of the Lord came^(A) to Abram in a vision:

¹³ But Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see^(A) the Lord’s salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.

²⁰ Moses responded to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear Him and will not^[a] sin.”^(A)

⁹ Only don’t rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land, for we will devour them.^(A) Their protection^(B) has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us. Don’t be afraid of them!”

³ He is to say to them: ‘Listen, Israel: Today you are about to engage in battle with your enemies. Do not be cowardly. Do not be afraid, alarmed, or terrified because of them.

⁶ Be strong and courageous;^(A) don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you;^(B) He will not leave you or forsake you.”^(C)

⁸ The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them,^(A) for I have handed them over to you. Not one of them will be able to stand against you.”

²⁵ Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous,^(A) for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight.”

²⁴ Therefore, the Lord God of Hosts says this: “My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria, though he strikes you with a rod and raises his staff over you as the Egyptians did.
