⁶“Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;^(A)
for in the image of God^(B)
has God made mankind.

¹⁴But if someone willfully attacks and kills another by treachery, you shall take the killer from my altar for execution.^(A)

¹⁴But if anyone schemes and kills someone deliberately,^(A) that person is to be taken from my altar and put to death.^(B)
