Genesis 9:4-6
Good News Translation

4 (A)The one thing you must not eat is meat with blood still in it; I forbid this because the life is in the blood. 5 If anyone takes human life, he will be punished. I will punish with death any animal that takes a human life. 6 (B)Human beings were made like God, so whoever murders one of them will be killed by someone else.

4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.(A) 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting.(B) I will demand an accounting from every animal.(C) And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.(D)

6 “Whoever sheds human blood,
    by humans shall their blood be shed;(E)
for in the image of God(F)
    has God made mankind.
