⁴But you shall not eat flesh with its ^(A)life, that is, its blood.

⁴“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.^(A)

¹⁷It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither ^(A)fat nor ^(B)blood.”

¹⁷“‘This is a lasting ordinance^(A) for the generations to come,^(B) wherever you live:^(C) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(D)’”
