There were [a]giants in the earth in those days: yea, and after that the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they had borne them children, these were mighty men, which in old time were men of [b]renown.

¶ When the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughts of his (A)heart were only evil [c]continually,

Then it [d]repented the Lord, that he had made man in the earth, and he was sorry in his heart.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth,(D) and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.(E) The Lord regretted(F) that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
