Genesis 50:9-11
New Living Translation
9 A great number of chariots and charioteers accompanied Joseph.
10 When they arrived at the threshing floor of Atad, near the Jordan River, they held a very great and solemn memorial service, with a seven-day period of mourning for Joseph’s father. 11 The local residents, the Canaanites, watched them mourning at the threshing floor of Atad. Then they renamed that place (which is near the Jordan) Abel-mizraim,[a] for they said, “This is a place of deep mourning for these Egyptians.”

New International Version
9 Chariots(A) and horsemen[a] also went up with him. It was a very large company.
10 When they reached the threshing floor(B) of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly;(C) and there Joseph observed a seven-day period(D) of mourning(E) for his father.(F) 11 When the Canaanites(G) who lived there saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, “The Egyptians are holding a solemn ceremony of mourning.”(H) That is why that place near the Jordan is called Abel Mizraim.[b]
