50 1 Jacob is buried. 19 Joseph forgiveth his brethren. 23 He seeth his children’s children. 26 He dieth.

Then Joseph fell upon his father’s face and wept upon him, and kissed him.

And Joseph commanded his servants the [a]physicians to embalm his father, and the physicians embalmed Israel.

So forty days were accomplished (for so long did the days of them that were embalmed last) and the Egyptians bewailed him [b]seventy days.

50 Joseph threw himself on his father and wept over him and kissed him.(A) Then Joseph directed the physicians in his service to embalm his father Israel.
