Genesis 49:17-19

¹⁷Dan shall be a serpent by the way, a horned snake in the path, that bites at the horse’s heels, so that his rider falls backward.

¹⁸I wait for Your salvation, O Lord.

¹⁹Gad—a raiding troop shall raid him, but he shall raid at their heels and assault them [victoriously].

a viper along the path,^(B)
that bites the horse’s heels^(C)
so that its rider tumbles backward.

¹⁸“I look for your deliverance,^(D) Lord.^(E)

¹⁹“Gad^[a]^(F) will be attacked by a band of raiders,
but he will attack them at their heels.^(G)

Genesis 49:19 Gad sounds like the Hebrew for attack and also for band of raiders.
