27 Now Israel [a]lived in the land of Egypt, in [b]Goshen, and they (A)acquired property in it and (B)were fruitful and became very numerous. 28 Jacob lived in the land of Egypt (C)seventeen years; so the [c]length of Jacob’s life was one hundred and forty-seven years.
29 When [d](D)the time for Israel to die drew near, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “Please, if I have found favor in your sight, (E)place now your hand under my thigh and (F)deal with me in kindness and [e]faithfulness. Please do not bury me in Egypt,

New International Version
27 Now the Israelites settled in Egypt in the region of Goshen.(A) They acquired property there(B) and were fruitful and increased greatly in number.(C)
