27 Israel lived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen, and they had possessions there and grew and became very numerous.
28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years, so the years of Jacob’s life were one hundred and forty-seven years. 29 When the time drew near when Israel would die, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “If now I have found grace in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh and deal kindly and truly with me. 27 Now the Israelites settled in Egypt in the region of Goshen.(A) They acquired property there(B) and were fruitful and increased greatly in number.(C)
