11 Forsooth Joseph gave to his father and [his] brethren (a) possession in Egypt, in Rameses, the best soil of [the] earth (the best soil in the land), as Pharaoh commanded;
12 and he fed them, and all the house(hold) of his father, and gave meats to them all (and gave food to all of them).
13 For bread (had) failed in all the world, and hunger oppressed the land, mostly of Egypt and of Canaan (most of all now in Egypt and Canaan);

Genesis 47:11-13
New International Version
11 So Joseph settled his father and his brothers in Egypt and gave them property in the best part of the land,(A) the district of Rameses,(B) as Pharaoh directed. 12 Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father’s household with food, according to the number of their children.(C)
Joseph and the Famine
13 There was no food, however, in the whole region because the famine was severe; both Egypt and Canaan wasted away because of the famine.(D)
