Genesis 45:6-8

⁶No food has grown on the land for two years now. And there will be five more years without planting or harvest. ⁷So God sent me here ahead of you. This was to make sure you have some descendants left on earth. And it was to keep you alive in an amazing way. ⁸So it was not you who sent me here, but God. God has made me the highest officer of the king of Egypt. I am in charge of his palace. I am the master of all the land of Egypt.

Genesis 45:6-8

New International Version

⁶For two years now there has been famine^(A) in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. ⁷But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant^(B) on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.^[a]^(C)

⁸“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God.^(D) He made me father^(E) to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.^(F)
