Genesis 45:5-7
The Voice
5 Don’t be upset or angry with yourselves any longer because of what you did. You see God sent me here ahead of you to preserve life. 6 For famine struck this land two years ago, and there are five more years in which there will be no plowing or harvesting. 7 God sent me here ahead of you to make sure you and your families survive this terrible ordeal and have a remnant left on earth.

5 And now, do not be distressed(A) and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here,(B) because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.(C) 6 For two years now there has been famine(D) in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. 7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant(E) on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.[a](F)
