5 So now do not be grieved or angry [a]with yourselves because (A)you sold me here, for (B)God sent me before you to preserve life. 6 For the famine has been in the land (C)these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7 (D)So God sent me before you to establish for you a remnant in the earth and to keep you alive for a great remnant of survivors.

5 And now, do not be distressed(A) and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here,(B) because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.(C) 6 For two years now there has been famine(D) in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. 7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant(E) on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.[a](F)
