4 But Jacob did not send Joseph’s brother (A)Benjamin with his brothers, for he said, “(B)I am afraid that harm may befall him.” 5 So the sons of Israel came to buy grain among those who were coming, (C)for the famine was in the land of Canaan also.
6 Now (D)Joseph was the ruler over the land; he was the one who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph’s brothers came and (E)bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.

4 But Jacob did not send Benjamin,(A) Joseph’s brother, with the others, because he was afraid that harm might come to him.(B) 5 So Israel’s sons were among those who went to buy grain,(C) for there was famine in the land of Canaan(D) also.(E)
6 Now Joseph was the governor of the land,(F) the person who sold grain to all its people.(G) So when Joseph’s brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.(H)
