4 But Jacob did not send Joseph’s brother Benjamin with his brothers, for he thought some disaster might befall him. 5 And so the sons of Israel were among those who came to buy grain, since there was famine in the land of Canaan.(A)
6 Joseph, as governor of the country, was the one who sold grain to all the people of the land. When Joseph’s brothers came, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.(B)

New International Version
4 But Jacob did not send Benjamin,(A) Joseph’s brother, with the others, because he was afraid that harm might come to him.(B) 5 So Israel’s sons were among those who went to buy grain,(C) for there was famine in the land of Canaan(D) also.(E)
6 Now Joseph was the governor of the land,(F) the person who sold grain to all its people.(G) So when Joseph’s brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.(H)
