56 The famine spread over the face of the whole earth. Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt. 57 The whole world came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe all over the whole world.

56 When the famine had spread over the whole country, Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians,(A) for the famine(B) was severe throughout Egypt.(C) 57 And all the world came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph,(D) because the famine was severe everywhere.(E)
