5 He fell asleep again and had another dream. Seven heads of grain, full and ripe, were growing on one stalk. 6 Then seven other heads of grain sprouted, thin and scorched by the desert wind, 7 and the thin heads of grain swallowed the full ones. The king woke up and realized that he had been dreaming.

5 He fell asleep again and had a second dream: Seven heads of grain,(A) healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. 6 After them, seven other heads of grain sprouted—thin and scorched by the east wind.(B) 7 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. Then Pharaoh woke up;(C) it had been a dream.
