The next morning Joseph noticed that they looked dejected and sad.

“What in the world is the matter?” he asked.

And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but there is no one here to tell us what they mean.”

“Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Tell me what you saw.”

When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody(A) with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”(B)

“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.”(C)

Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God?(D) Tell me your dreams.”
