Genesis 40:6-8
New English Translation
6 When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were looking depressed.[a] 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officials, who were with him in custody in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”[b] 8 They told him, “We both had dreams,[c] but there is no one to interpret them.” Joseph responded, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell them[d] to me.”

- Genesis 40:6 tn The verb זָעַף (zaʿaf) only occurs here and Dan 1:10. It means “to be sick, to be emaciated,” probably in this case because of depression.

New International Version
6 When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody(A) with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”(B)
8 “We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.”(C)
Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God?(D) Tell me your dreams.”
