And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he ministered unto them: and they continued a season in ward. And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison. After they had been in custody(C) for some time, each of the two men—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison—had a dream(D) the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.(E)

When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected.
