35 All his sons and all his daughters (A)rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted and said, “No, (B)I shall go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” Thus his father wept for him. 36 Meanwhile (C)the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, (D)the captain of the guard.

35 All his sons and daughters came to comfort him,(A) but he refused to be comforted.(B) “No,” he said, “I will continue to mourn until I join my son(C) in the grave.(D)” So his father wept for him.
