Genesis 35:4-6

4 So they gave to Jacob all the foreign gods which [a]they had and the rings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the [b]oak which was near Shechem.
5 As they journeyed, there was [c](A)a great terror upon the cities which were around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob. 6 So Jacob came to (B)Luz (that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him.

New International Version
4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears,(A) and Jacob buried them under the oak(B) at Shechem.(C) 5 Then they set out, and the terror of God(D) fell on the towns all around them so that no one pursued them.(E)
6 Jacob and all the people with him came to Luz(F) (that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan.(G)
