²⁸ They seized their flocks and herds and donkeys^(A) and everything else of theirs in the city and out in the fields.^{(B) 29} They carried off all their wealth and all their women and children,^(C) taking as plunder^(D) everything in the houses.^(E)

¹³ When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it.^{(A) 14} As for the women, the children, the livestock^(B) and everything else in the city,^(C) you may take these as plunder^(D) for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies.
