11 Shechem also said to her father and to her brothers, “If I find favor in your sight, then I will give whatever you say to me. 12 Ask me ever so much bridal payment and gift, and I will give according as you say to me; but give me the girl [a]in marriage.”
13 But Jacob’s sons answered Shechem and his father Hamor with deceit, because he had defiled Dinah their sister.

11 Then Shechem said to Dinah’s father and brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes,(A) and I will give you whatever you ask. 12 Make the price for the bride(B) and the gift I am to bring as great as you like, and I’ll pay whatever you ask me. Only give me the young woman as my wife.”
13 Because their sister Dinah had been defiled,(C) Jacob’s sons replied deceitfully(D) as they spoke to Shechem and his father Hamor.
