8 Esau said, “What’s the meaning of this entire group of animals that I met?”
Jacob said, “To ask for my master’s kindness.”
9 Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what’s yours.”
10 Jacob said, “No, please, do me the kindness of accepting my gift. Seeing your face is like seeing God’s face, since you’ve accepted me so warmly.

8 Esau asked, “What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?”(A)
“To find favor in your eyes, my lord,”(B) he said.
9 But Esau said, “I already have plenty,(C) my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.”
10 “No, please!” said Jacob. “If I have found favor in your eyes,(D) accept this gift(E) from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God,(F) now that you have received me favorably.(G)
