^28 (A)He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but ^[a]Israel; for you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.”

^10 (A)God said to him,

Thus He called ^[b]him Israel.

³⁴ To this day they do according to the earlier customs: they do not fear the Lord, nor do they ^[a]follow their statutes or their ordinances or the law, or the commandments which the Lord commanded the sons of Jacob, ^(A)whom He named Israel;
