39 the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted. 40 And Jacob separated the lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban. 39 they mated in front of the branches.(A) And they bore young that were streaked or speckled or spotted.(B) 40 Jacob set apart the young of the flock by themselves, but made the rest face the streaked and dark-colored animals(C) that belonged to Laban.
