20 Adam named his wife Eve [Life] because she became the mother of every living person.
21 Yahweh Elohim made clothes from animal skins for the man and his wife and dressed them.
22 Then Yahweh Elohim said, “The man has become like one of us, since he knows good and evil. He must not reach out and take the fruit from the tree of life and eat. Then he would live forever.”

New International Version
20 Adam[a] named his wife Eve,[b](A) because she would become the mother of all the living.
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.(B) 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us,(C) knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life(D) and eat, and live forever.”
