Genesis 28:17-19
Good News Translation
17 He was afraid and said, “What a terrifying place this is! It must be the house of God; it must be the gate that opens into heaven.”
18 Jacob got up early next morning, took the stone that was under his head, and set it up as a memorial. Then he poured olive oil on it to dedicate it to God. 19 He named the place Bethel.[a] (The town there was once known as Luz.)

Genesis 28:17-19
New International Version
17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place!(A) This is none other than the house of God;(B) this is the gate of heaven.”
18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head(C) and set it up as a pillar(D) and poured oil on top of it.(E) 19 He called that place Bethel,[a](F) though the city used to be called Luz.(G)
