Genesis 27:12-14

¹²If my father touches me, he will know I am not Esau. Then he will not bless me. He will place a curse on me because I tried to trick him.”

¹³So Rebekah said to him, “If your father puts a curse on you, I will accept the blame. Just do what I said. Go and get the goats for me.”

¹⁴So Jacob went out and got two goats and brought them to his mother. Then she cooked them in the special way Isaac enjoyed.

Genesis 27:12-14

¹²What if my father touches me?^(A) I would appear to be tricking him and would bring down a curse^(B) on myself rather than a blessing.”

¹³His mother said to him, “My son, let the curse fall on me.^(C) Just do what I say;^(D) go and get them for me.”

¹⁴So he went and got them and brought them to his mother, and she prepared some tasty food, just the way his father liked it.^(E)
