13 Behold, (A)I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water; 14 now may it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your jar so that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will give water to your camels to drink also’—may she be the one whom You have decided for Your servant Isaac; and by this I will know that You have shown lovingkindness to my master.”

13 See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water.(A) 14 May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink,(B) and I’ll water your camels too’(C)—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac.(D) By this I will know(E) that you have shown kindness to my master.”

15 Before he had finished praying,(F) Rebekah(G) came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel(H) son of Milkah,(I) who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor.(J)
