22 After these things ^(A)God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

22 Some time later God tested^(A) Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”

“Here I am,”^(B) he replied.

⁸And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for ^(A)us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

⁸Then I heard the voice^(A) of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?^(B) And who will go for us?^(C)”

And I said, “Here am I.^(D) Send me!”
