29 When God destroyed the cities in the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot away from the disaster that overtook the cities in which Lot had lived. 30 Since Lot had become fearful of living in Zoar, he and his two daughters headed up from Zoar and settled in the mountains where he and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 The older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there are no men in the land to sleep with us as is the custom everywhere.

29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain,(A) he remembered(B) Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe(C) that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.(D)
Lot and His Daughters
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar(E) and settled in the mountains,(F) for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth.
