²⁹ Thus it happened, when God destroyed the cities of the ^[a]valley, that ^(A)God remembered Abraham and ^(B)sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.

²⁰ The soul who ^(A)sins will die. The ^(B)son will not bear the iniquity of the father, nor will the father bear the iniquity of the son; the ^(C)righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.
