¹⁹ For I have known him, in order ^(A)that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your ^(A)God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and ^(B)you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth. ^45 (C)For I am the Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. ^(D)You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

³⁷ And because ^(A)He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their ^[a]descendants after them; and ^(B)He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power,

⁶ “For you are a ^[a]holy people to the Lord your God; ^(A)the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.

¹⁹ and that He will set you ^(A)high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be ^(B)a ^[a]holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

^9 (A)“The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.

¹³ that He may ^(A)establish you today as a people for Himself, and that He may be God to you, ^(B)just as He has spoken to you, and ^(C)just as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

³ And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem ^(A)will be called holy—everyone who is ^(B)recorded among the living in Jerusalem.
