Genesis 16:2-4

2 So Sarai said to Abram, “Now behold, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. (A)Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will [a]obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. 3 After Abram had [b]lived (B)ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram’s wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as his wife. 4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her sight.

Genesis 16:2-4
New International Version
2 so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children.(A) Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.”(B)
Abram agreed to what Sarai said. 3 So after Abram had been living in Canaan(C) ten years,(D) Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife. 4 He slept with Hagar,(E) and she conceived.
When she knew she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress.(F)
