⁵ And He brought him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and ^(A)number the stars, if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “^(B)So shall your seed be.”

^4 (A)And I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and I will give your seed all these lands; and ^(B)by your seed all the nations of the earth ^[a]shall be blessed;

²² As the ^(A)host of heaven cannot be counted and the ^(B)sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will ^(C)multiply the seed of David My servant and the ^(D)Levites who minister to Me.’”

¹² Therefore there were born even of one man, and ^(A)him as good as dead ^[a]at that, as many ^(B)as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
