22 Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have [a]sworn to the Lord [b](A)God Most High, [c](B)possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that (C)I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, for fear you would say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’ 24 [d]I will take nothing except what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, (D)Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share.”

22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom,(A) “With raised hand(B) I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High,(C) Creator of heaven and earth,(D) 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you,(E) not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’ 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me—to Aner, Eshkol and Mamre.(F) Let them have their share.”
