¹⁹ Then he blessed him and said,

² He said to his mother, “The 1,100 pieces of silver which were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse and spoke of it ^[a]in my hearing, behold, the silver is with me; it was I who took it.” And his mother said, “Blessed be my son by Yahweh.”

¹⁰ Then he said, “^(A)May you be blessed of Yahweh, my daughter. You have shown your last lovingkindness to be better than the first by not going after young men, whether poor or rich.

⁵ And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said to them, “^(A)May you be blessed of Yahweh because you have ^[a]shown this lovingkindness with your lord, with Saul, and have buried him.
