⁸ Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with ^(A)Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to Yahweh and ^(B)called upon the name of Yahweh.

¹⁹ And he called the name of that place ^[a](A)Bethel; however, ^[b]previously the name of the city had been ^(B)Luz.

²² Likewise the house of Joseph went up against Bethel, and Yahweh was with them.
