³¹ Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot, son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and brought them out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to go to the land of Canaan. But when they reached Haran, they settled there.^(A)

³ But I brought your father Abraham from the region beyond the River and led him through the entire land of Canaan.^(A) I made his descendants numerous, and gave him Isaac.

⁴ So he went forth from the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. And from there, after his father died, he made him migrate to this land where you now dwell.^(A)
