Genesis 10:6-8

⁶Soothly the sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

⁷Forsooth the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah. The sons of Raamah were Sheba, and Dedan.

⁸Forsooth Cush begat Nimrod; (and) he began to be mighty in [the] earth,

⁶The sons of Ham:

Cush,^(B) Egypt, Put^(C) and Canaan.^(D)

⁷The sons of Cush:

Seba,^(E) Havilah,^(F) Sabtah, Raamah^(G) and Sabteka.

The sons of Raamah:

Sheba^(H) and Dedan.^(I)

⁸Cush was the father^[a] of Nimrod,^(J) who became a mighty warrior on the earth.

Genesis 10:8 Father may mean ancestor or predecessor or founder; also in verses 13, 15, 24 and 26.
