10 The beginning of his nation was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 He went into Assyria from the land, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah. That is the great city.

10 The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon,(A) Uruk,(B) Akkad and Kalneh,(C) in[a] Shinar.[b](D) 11 From that land he went to Assyria,(E) where he built Nineveh,(F) Rehoboth Ir,[c] Calah 12 and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah—which is the great city.
